Soundarya Rajinikanth gets engaged to Ashwin!

The engagement ceremony of Superstar Rajinikanth’s daughter Soundarya with Ashwin Ramkumar took place at Park Sheraton in Chennai on Wednesday, February 17.

It was a function where only the VVIP’s were invited. Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi, along with his wives Dayalu Ammal and Rajathi Ammal, daughter Kanimozhi, daughter-in-law Durga Stalin, and grandson Udayanidhi Stalin were present at the function.





Select few from Kollywood who are close to Rajinikanth like his mentor K Balachandar, early producers like Panchu Arunachalam and Kalaipuli S Thanu, the man who has directed the most movies with him S P Muthuraman, current favourite Shankar were present at the function.

It looks like the press was not invited nor photographers allowed to take pictures. All newspapers carried the same picture of the engagement, courtesy the Tamil Nadu Government public relations department. Since the CM attended the function it was covered by the PRD!
